KES along with history of IT in Korea Since our first show at Deok-su Palace in 1969, KES has played a primary role in the growth of Korean Electronic industry. As the technology develops throughout the world, Korean electronic products have deformed their shapes from a simple product, like a vacuum tube radio, to advanced products, like a mobile phone, IPTV and a semiconductor. The significant development in technology and increased demands of Korean electronic products throughout the world have resulted the rapid increase of the productions of the electronic products; Korean electronics are ranked at the 4th in the world electronics production. An investment portfolio for CEO An investment portfolio for CEO From 2008, KES has founded a complete product portfolio by merging two areas, 「semiconductor」and 「display」. The portfolio enables the buyers to acquire as many information of “up and/or down stream”supply chain at one glance. In 2009, over 1000 companies from 30 different countries will participate the Korea Electronics Show. The show will be held in 53,541 square meters of exhibition area, the participants will present their major products such as cell phones, multimedia, semiconductors, displays, etc. Also different kinds of convergence solutions will be presented, such as digital kits and digital hospital, wearable computing, and Green IT. Those presentations about convergence solutions will give CEOs the insight of the future trends of the advanced technology and the world market. 04_05

Trustworthy Korean Prosumers Trustworthy Korean Prosumers Korean market has strong and aggressive prosumers that have created the concept of the space with various IT devices: for example, the internet cafes, karaoke, and game rooms etc. The prosumers do not only participate in consuming the products but also they give challenging ideas to company’ s R&D and productions. Due to the strong contributions of Korean prosumers, a lot of foreign buyers choose Korean market as their reliable test-bed. This year, KES is proudly presenting the expanded exhibition areas. KES 2009 will deal the different themes that are reflecting the social and cultural demand in our life, such as green-home, digital-hospital, wearable computing, digital Lego, etc. A lot of buyers are already showing their interests by requesting the further detailed information. Having strong connections especially with Asian Pacific IT shows in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and China, the buyers from North America, Europe, and Middle East tend to schedule every October as an Asian IT show pilgrimage. Service for participating companies With the celebration of the 40th anniversary, KES has significantly increased the quality of services. From this year, the exhibitors and their products will be presented in a very powerful B2B e-marketplace through “ww.epartshub.com”, in which over 2 millions of data about electronic parts and components from Korea, China and Japan are going to be uploaded. KES also provides the special services for small and mid- sized exhibitors. KES will build a webpage for the exhibiting companies that will assist them to manage their products on the website with ASP (application service provider) manner. 08_09 Service for participating companies

Attractions Attractions In 2009, KES provides various technical conferences that will introduce ideas on the new technology and the market trend. Furthermore, the Sales Fairs will take place at the same time to provide on-site market place for dealer’ s groups from various countries including here in Korea. KES plans some other events for the guests to give exciting experiences of amusing IT technology: Wearable computing fashion show, Digital Lego MP3, Gyro Sensor Helicopter, 3D Casino machine, etc. 10_11
